Our Company
Our aim is to create a new, innovative world of entertainment that goes beyond the status quo but which is firmly rooted in physical reality.
Through our vision to become the Escape Artist's number one destination of choice for escape room entertainment we hope to give people incredible and rewarding experiences that they will remember for years to come.
Our mission is to create escape room entertainment that moves away from traditional padlocks & keys and falls squarely into the realms of cinematic experiences where our escape artists have to work together to overcome challenges in an immersive environment.
Along the way we want to give our customers a seamless, quality and memorable experience that goes above and beyond their expectations.
Our Design History
2015
On 2 November 2015 we opened the first escape room in Geelong: Escape Room Geelong - The Mad Scientist®. This design has been licenced and is now used by Escape Room Enterprises Pty Ltd under a non-exclusive licence.
2016
Thanks to the wonderful reception and generous support and feedback of the local community we were able to develop and build Escape Room Geelong - Prison Break on 4 September 2016 in the Old Geelong Gaol. Originally designed for nine people max the demand and attention saw us expand the design (and our team) to cater to up to 52 persons at once.
2017
With the aim of triallng a speed-oriented design we opened Escape Room Geelong - Vault Heist - an escape room filled with over 50+ puzzles and which can be attempted by up to 32 people at once.
2018-2019
A foray into Augmented Reality saw us launch Ghost Hunt - The Augmented Reality Experiece. Whilst a fun game the genre of AR gaming did not fit with our identity and the experience was archived. We also helped open our experience in NSW by licencing Escape Room Geelong - Prison Break to a group in Newcastle. Then in 2019 we applied to Guiness World Records as we ran 104 O'Week Students in a mass escape at the Geelong Gaol.
2020-2021
With the onset of COVID and masks our attention turned to an Outdoor escape room experience. Foreshore Detective - The Murder Mystery Hunt sends customer groups on their way with satchels. Inside the satchel are puzzles which require information from the local surrounds at each point along the course. Customers use the local environment to solve their satchel puzzles and enter their answers into their phone to unlock the next location point.
2022
In 2022 we launched Escape Room Geelong - Archeology, a mega design set across 60+ square meters that had an average escape time of 2 hours and 33 minutes. The design focused on all those secret compartment aspects that escape artists love and took two years and five months to build having started construction in Nov 2019. As of today the room has been streamlined to become a 105-120 minute experience but still retains the mega structure and all its secrets.
